I collect casino slot cards and room keys from Las Vegas, and all over the world. Slot cards are used by the casino to track the amount of money that you spend on gambling. You can earn comps such as free rooms, drinks, meals, show tickets, clothing, and gift shop items.

Here you will find stories and pictures about the rich and unconventional history of Las Vegas. I have put a lot of work into researching the history of Fremont Street, the "Strip" and "Off-Strip", hotels, motels, bars, and casinos both past and present. I have included over 1600 pictures of the gaming chips, hotels, ashtrays, postcards, slot cards, room keys, and matchbooks for many of the properties along with photos that I have taken on my many trips to Las Vegas.

Check My What's New? page as I am frequently adding, updating, and making changes to this website. I have listed all of the Las Vegas casinos and hotels that I know of, but I am sure there are some that have slipped under the radar. I have put a lot of time into developing my website to what you see today, and I'm still improving it. I am fascinated by the history of Las Vegas!  No other website has as much information that  mine does about downtown. Go to my Casino History page and click on the links for each hotel. Please take the time to explore my site.

As for Vegas - it couldn't be much weirder if this town were on the moon. The place just seems to pulse with whatever it is that makes the weirdness weird. The place feeds on it. Likes it. And the weirdest thing is, it always has. --Michael Ventura

Vegas means ... wild, irresponsible, what-happens-here-stays-here. Smoke cigars, have sex with strangers, get wasted and see stupid shows with stupid Elvis impersonators doing stupid impressions of that stupid hillbilly. That's an image we know and love in Vegas. It's the image we spend our stupidly low tax money to promote. "What Happens in Vegas, Stays in Vegas" was an official slogan. - Penn Jillette

The only ads that I have here are Google and Amazon. This is a free hobby website, so any expenses come out of my own pocket. At present there are over 350 individual pages of information here, and I update them when I find new pictures or information to share with you. Enjoy your visit, and come back often!
